My First Sentosa Trip

During the June hols, my parents and I went to Sentosa. It was my first trip to Sentosa with mummy, daddy, Anne yiyi and Uncle Daryl (yiyi’s boyfriend). Daddy drove there and parked his car at the beach station carpark.

After reaching, we decided to go to the first stop which is the Underwater World. I got to see many different kinds of underwater animals.

Look! I can make many different facial expressions.

Click! Family picture.

Then I went to food court at the beach and had our lunch. Daddy, mummy and I had chicken rice. Yummy! After that, I went to the beach to play. Daddy opened up the mini tent that he had brought and we had a great time at the beach building sandcastle and playing with the water. It was also my first time walking barefooted on the sand. Mummy said I walked like a penguin. Luckily, Uncle Daryl held my hands so I would not fall.

Hmmmm.... hey... I am not wearing any shirt.

I am playing sand for the first time.

After playing at the beach for some time, we proceeded to the pink dolphin lagoon. As I was very tired, I felt asleep while daddy pushed me on my stroller. But fortunately, I was able to wake up on time to watch the pink dolphin performed. After the show, I went to take picture with my favourite merlion.

Oh. how can I miss the merlion.

At night, we had dinner at Sakae Sushi. Daddy and mummy said that the food there was not very delicious. Then, we went to watch Song of the Sea. It was a great performance and I truly enjoyed myself that day.

1st Time to the ZOO!

While we were on the car on the way to Zoo. Mummy taught me how to sing the "Going to the Zoo" song and it went like this:

We are going to the ZOO, ZOO, ZOO;
How about YOU, YOU, YOU;
You can come TOO, TOO, TOO;
We are going to the ZOO, ZOO, ZOO.
On the way there, clouds could be seen looming overhead of us. Nevertheless, Daddy decided to proceed with the journey. We were very excited when we reached the zoo and daddy took the very first picture of me in front of the ticketing counter while mummy went to buy the tickets.

After getting the tickets, we proceeded into the zoo. The first animal that Kaitlyn encountered were the parrots. Daddy was very excited and decided to take a pic again.

The journey started first through the treetop trail. We were very excited when we saw the White Tiger. Kaitlyn wanted a shot of herself and each of us took a pic with Kaitlyn.

Picture perfect with Daddy, Mummy and my personal shot.

Then we went to see the Kangaroo, which is Kaitlyn's favourite. Why does she like Kangaroo? She loves the character, Roo, from Winnie the Pooh. Well... another pic taken.

Sadly, remember the dark clouds looming... it started to drizzle. We were stuck at the sealion and penguin section. Upon seeing some people feeding the sealions, Kaitlyn and I took the opportunity to feed them. Kaitlyn with overwhelmed with excitement as she claimed that she would be a brave girl and feed the sealions. After paying $5 and waiting patiently for our turn, Kaitlyn and I finally inched our way nearer to the sealions. I started first by giving each sealion a piece of carrot. Kaitlyn attempted to drop the carrot into the water but upon seeing the sealion inched up to the surface, her courage disappeared. She hung onto me like a Koala Bear while I fed all the carrots up. That was definitely a good experience for her.

After waiting for about half an hour and assuming that all the animals would be hiding in their shelther, we decided to go home. Before leaving, we stopped by the souvenir shop to see if we could grab some cute stuff for Kaitlyn. Upon stepping into the shop, a hand puppet chimp caught her eye. She hugged it and took many shots of it. In the end, we decided to bring the chimp home course she just couldn't let go.

It was a fun day for all of us except for the sudden downpour. The next trip that we are planning for before Daddy leaves for another trip would be to the Sentosa. Let's hope the weather would be better on that day.

Greenfingers?

It's been some time since I post blog about Kaitlyn. I was running through some pictures and was surprised to see these interesting pictures that I have missed out.

Every evening, she would help her yeye (grandpa) to water the plants. Of course she has her own red watering can and a miniature one. Sometimes I really wonder if she has greenfingers. I am also wondering if she is enjoying looking after the plants or rather enjoying the water.
I am not the fortunate kind who has greenfingers. I remembered buying some pots of plants and left in the house during spring. And guess what, within 2 weeks, the plants wilthered.

Hmmm... I think when I get my own house back, I will leave to the planting to my little greenfingers.

Wow... Is my fingers green?

Don't run away... I am coming to you!!!

Hmmm.... these plants will definitely grow well under my hands.

A little watering here and there.

Kaitlyn's advice: What do you do with the left-over water?

Step 1: Take a little container.

Step 2: Scoop from the big bucket. Remember to really bend low so you can get more water.

Step 3: Pour the remainder water into the pots.

Remember Kaitlyn's tips and your plants will grow as well as hers.

Daddy! Daddy! I love you!

My Best Daddy
Daddy is away again... Kaitlyn and I miss him so much. Nevertheless, he is coming back next sat, 10 Feb to celebrate chinese new year with us. Daddy has played a very important role in my life and Kaitlyn's. Since that most of the time he is not around, I would have to take up his role. I am very fortunate to have a supportive husband and a good father. Jonathan aka my husband would skype with us every night. And every night, Kaitlyn would just jump up and down calling "DADDY" whenever she hears the computer sounds. Every night before we end our conversation, my silly Kaitlyn would hug and kiss the monitor to show her affection for our distant daddy.
Do I look like my daddy?

I love sleeping beside Daddy.... Hmmm in dreamland

Elmo and I

One of Kaitlyn's favourite cartoon character is Elmo. Due to this reason, my mother in law bought an Elmo house shoes for her. Even though it was a bit big, she still loves wearing it all the time. I think she looks really cool in it.

My Elmo house shoes... isn't it cute?
How do I look with the shoes on?
Geez, I think I look extremely good in it!!!

YUKULT! YUM YUM!!!

Yum Yum... Finally

Haha... so happy that I have finished my YUKULT!

Hmm.... I think this is still the best!

Kaitlyn was at Ah Ma's place on Sunday. It is our routine to go to my mum's place every weekend. My mum would help in taking care of Kaitlyn for the whole day so as to let me have a breathing space. Because of this, I love going to my mum's place. Mum loves to bathe and play with Kaitlyn. Auntie Anne, who is Kaitlyn's Yee Yee, loves to play with her too. Kaitlyn also loves playing with Yee Yee. Andrew, Kaitlyn's Ah Gu, is an amazing fellow who can just sit in front of the comp the whole day. Nevertheless, Kaitlyn would always request this Ah Gu to carry her and let her sit on his lap.

Kaitlyn just loves the time after dinner. She would take the initiative and pull my mum to the kitchen. Where do you think she is leading my mum to... ... Where else but the fridge. She would then point to the fridge and then to her mouth indicating that she wants to eat something. My mum would open the fridge and Kaitlyn would take - a bottle of YAKULT that she wanted to have! Talking about initiative... ...

We Miss You! Daddy....

Daddy, We Miss YOU!

Hello Daddy, Are you there?

Life has became more dull without Kaitlyn's daddy who is now working hard in Bangaldesh. Daddy has just gotten a job which requires him to fly very often. We miss the days where we had our family outings on every friday. We miss the laughter we had every night before Kaitlyn went to bed. We miss the Daddy who is always there for us!
